But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come.

And you, O mountains of Israel, your branches you will give forth, and your fruit you will bear for My people Israel, for they are soon to come in!

Notes

When God’s people returned to their land, Israel would grow in number and in harvest. This would fulfill the command God gave at creation to “be fruitful and multiply” (Genesis 1:28).

The destruction of Edom (chapter 35) would prepare the way for the restoration of the mountains of Israel, reversing the devastation threatened in chapter 6.
