Notes

Although the evidence is limited, it is likely that the name Christian (compare Acts 11:26) first served as a simple label used by those who did not follow Jesus. They used it to summarize what they believed were the strange religious practices and immoral behavior of those who followed Jesus.

Peter gives Christians one final instruction about how to face the trials that will surely come.
