Notes

will turn out for my deliverance: Paul expected to be released from prison soon (see 1:25–26; 2:24). This is different from what Paul wrote later in 2 Timothy 4:6, when he was in prison again and expected to die.

Paul was happy that his time in prison helped spread the good news about Jesus.
