Notes

Romans 8:9

You … are controlled … by the Spirit: In contrast to unbelievers, who still live under the rule of Adam’s sinful nature, Christians are guided in their lives by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit does not remove human choice or make Christians unable to sin. However, as the strongest influence in the lives of Christians, the Spirit makes it possible for them to resist the ongoing power of sin.
