Notes

When Peter denied Jesus for the third time, the rooster crowed again. This fulfilled the prediction of Jesus from 14:30.

While Jesus stood bravely before the Sanhedrin (the Jewish ruling council), Peter became afraid of people with little power. He called down curses on himself and said he did not know Jesus. When Peter remembered what Jesus had said, he began to weep.

Peter’s predicted denials occurred during the trial of Jesus (see 14:30).
