Notes

Take nothing for the journey: They were to depend on God and on the kindness of the people they served.

Jesus now sent his 12 disciples to announce the kingdom of God and demonstrate its authority by casting out demons and healing the sick. Jesus was training them to carry on his work after he was gone.
