I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what Manasseh son of Hezekiah king of Judah did in Jerusalem.
Notes
Judah's turning away from faith began with Manasseh, son of Hezekiah. Manasseh was king from 697 to 642 BC (see 2 Kings 21:1–18; 2 Chronicles 33:1–20).
The Lord replied to Jeremiah's prayer (Jeremiah 14:19–22) that Judah's destruction could not be avoided.
