Notes

Repeating the Lord’s name (shown as LORD in the Berean Standard Bible) four times emphasizes that he alone heals, lifts burdens, loves, and protects.

The call to praise (Psalm 146:1–2) leads to a warning against foolishness and false confidence (146:3–4). The psalm ends with a blessing for everyone who places their hope in the Lord (Psalm 146:5–7).

The Psalter ends with five hallelujah psalms, so named because each begins and ends with Praise the LORD! (Hebrew haleluyah).
