Notes

They were to sleep in the same house and not take advantage of kindness of their hosts by looking for better food and another place to sleep at night.

Jesus sent the disciples to preach and heal. During this mission, they memorized the teachings of Jesus by repeating them. This prepared them to later recall and share what Jesus did and taught (Luke 1:2).

The mission of Jesus and the misunderstanding of the disciples are prominent themes in this section.
