Be glad, O children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God, for He has given you the autumn rains for your vindication. He sends you showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before.
Traditional
Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
Literal
And you sons of Zion, rejoice and be glad in YHWH your God, for He gives to you the early rain for vindication, and He brings down for you the rain—the early rain and the latter rain as at first.
Latin

Notes

autumn rains … and spring rains: God would restore the regular rainfall pattern, reversing the drought (Joel 1:12, 20).

God promised to restore the material life of his people in the near future. He would refill their fields, orchards, vineyards, and flocks.
