Notes
Since both people and land suffered from God's judgment, they would both receive his passionate compassion.
So far, the book of Joel has discussed God's judgment on Judah and Jerusalem. From now on, it talks about God's promise to restore them. If the people truly repented, God would respond with kindness.
God promised to restore the material life of his people in the near future. He would refill their fields, orchards, vineyards, and flocks.
