Notes

According to the Septuagint and the Samaritan Pentateuch, the 430 years span from the promise to Abraham until the exodus from Egypt (Genesis 12; 15). Compare Galatians 3:17; see also Exodus Book Introduction, The Date of the Exodus.

The Lord delivered on his promises and rescued Israel, bringing them out of Egypt.
