Notes

Paul ended his message with a strong warning (see Hebrews 2:3). Do not ignore, neglect, or reject the gospel, or you will encounter serious consequences.

Paul urged his audience to believe the message about Jesus, through whom there is forgiveness for your sins.

Paul accepted the invitation, and signaled for his audience to be quiet (compare 19:33; 21:40). He began to clearly proclaim the good news about Jesus. This is Paul's first major speech in the book of Acts. It serves as a model of the way he preached to a Jewish audience (see 22:1–21).
