παιδάριον, -ου, τό dimin. of παῖς,

[in LXX chiefly for נַעַר ;]

a little boy, a lad (in late and colloq. Gk. the word seems to be used with greater latitude and even to lose its dimin. force entirely; cf. Tob.6.2-3, and see MM, xviii): John 6:9.
