Then Boaz said, “May the LORD bless you, my daughter. You have shown more kindness now than before, because you have not run after the younger men, whether rich or poor.

And he said, Blessed be thou of the Lord, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.

Notes

You have shown more kindness: Ruth did not have to go to Bethlehem with Naomi. She was not required to marry into Elimelech’s family or give them an heir to the land (see Ruth 4:5).
