you are encountering the same struggle: Both Paul and the Philippians faced strong opposition. Paul was in prison, and the Philippians were being persecuted.

Paul encourages the Christians in Philippi to live in a way that honors the gospel (see Ephesians 4:1; Colossians 1:10; 1 Thessalonians 2:12). He especially encourages them to stay strong and faithful, even when they face persecution.
