Notes

Leprosy refers to several skin diseases (or even mildew in a building). An infected person was considered ceremonially unclean and was excluded from family and society (Leviticus 13:45–46; Numbers 12:9–12; 2 Chronicles 26:16–21; Luke 17:12).
