Notes

Judas wanted the money. Judas wanted the money. John says that he was a thief and used to steal from the money bag of the disciples (John 12:6).

The religious leaders who had been plotting against Jesus (see 19:47) found their opportunity when Judas Iscariot approached them with an offer to betray Jesus.
