Notes

Although Jesus recognized his relationship to his heavenly Father, he was obedient to his earthly parents.

Jesus visiting Jerusalem at age 12 is the only story from his childhood in the gospels. The main theme is his early spiritual insight. This includes how he is increasingly aware of his special relationship with God and his unique mission.
