Translations

Modern
The northern army I will drive away from you, banishing it to a barren and desolate land, its front ranks into the Eastern Sea, and its rear guard into the Western Sea. And its stench will rise; its foul odor will ascend. For He has done great things.
Traditional
But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.
Literal
And the northern I will put far away from you, and I will drive him away into a land of dryness and desolation, with his face toward the Eastern Sea, and his back toward the western sea; and his stench will come up, and his smell will rise up, for He has been great in doing.

Notes

grain, new wine, and oil: God would restore the land's produce. This would provide the elements needed for sacrifice and worship (see Joel 1:10, 13). God would also remove the invading armies from the north.

God promised to restore the material life of his people in the near future. He would refill their fields, orchards, vineyards, and flocks.
