They shall cut down her forest, saith the Lord, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable.
Literal
They will cut down her forest, a declaration of YHWH, though it cannot be searched, for they are more numerous than locusts, and there is not for them numbering!

Succiderunt saltum ejus, ait Dominus, qui supputari non potest: multiplicati sunt super locustas, et non est eis numerus.

Notes

The image of a serpent slithering away shows the fear that took over Egypt. The invaders attacked the people fiercely, like woodsmen chopping wood, after entering the country like a swarm of locusts.

The defeat at Carchemish caused chaos in Egypt and its armies. The Lord was judging Egypt.
