Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth—do you not know it? Indeed I am making a way in the wilderness, streams in the wasteland.

Notes

The Lord promised Israel that it would be freed from Babylon. This redemption would be similar to Israel's past freedom from Egypt but even greater in some ways (Isaiah 43:18).
