Therefore thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.

Notes

Given what happened to the northern kingdom (2 Kings 17:7–23) and Ahab’s family (2 Kings 9:24–26, 30–37; 10:1–8; 1 Kings 22:37–38), Manasseh should expect God to bring justice to him and the people of Judah.
