ἀνα-τέλλω

1. trans., to cause to rise: Matthew 5:45.
2. Intrans., to rise: φῶς, Matthew 4:16 (= Isaiah 9:1); ὁ ἥλιος, Matthew 13:6, Mark 4:6; 16:2, James 1:11; νεφέλη, Luke 12:54; φωσφόρος, 2 Peter 1:19; ὁ Κύριος, prob. with ref. to metaphorically of sun or star, Hebrews 7:14 (cf. ἐξ-ανατέλλω).
