Turn Your gaze away from me, that I may again be cheered before I depart and am no more.”

Turn Your gaze from me, that I might be made glad, before I go on and am no more.”
Latin
Remitte mihi, ut refrigerer priusquam abeam et amplius non ero.
Original
Hebrew
English
Turn Your gaze away from me, that I may again be cheered before I depart and am no more.”
Notes
Earlier, the psalmist asked God to stay close to him (Psalm 8:21–22). Now, he wants God to leave him alone. This is similar to how Job felt (Job 7:17–19).
This prayer for rescue shows the psalmist's discouragement, which comes from not fully understanding his situation.
