Notes

He was transfigured: In this moment, the inner and divine nature of Jesus, normally hidden, was now revealed. The three disciples were given a glimpse of his glory (see Exodus 34:29–35; Psalm 104:2; 2 Corinthians 3:12–18; Revelation 1:16). All of the disciples of Jesus will share in this glory one day (Matthew 13:43).
