Notes

  • The teaching of Jesus amazed the people because of his wisdom and his ability to heal and drive out demons.

  • "Where did this man get": His early life in Nazareth had not prepared them to accept him as a teacher and healer who spoke and acted with authority.

Nazareth’s rejection of Jesus stands in sharp contrast to the faith shown by others. The few miracles he did there also contrast with the greater displays of power seen in other places.
