No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.

Notes
A small clay lamp was filled with olive oil and placed in a space in the wall (an alcove). The message of Jesus gives light to those who listen, and it shows their true attitudes.
