Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.
Literal
For seven days you shall offer a fire offering to YHWH. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer a fire offering to YHWH. It is a sacred assembly; you shall not do any customary work.

Notes

During the Feast of Tabernacles, the Israelites lived in temporary shelters for seven days. This celebrated the time they spent in tents during their wilderness wanderings. It also reminded them of God's faithfulness during that period. For a list of sacrifices to be offered each day, see Numbers 29:12–34.
