Notes

Unlike many people in Jerusalem, the Galileans welcomed Jesus when he came to them.

However, their welcome was based on amazement at his miracles (see 2:23–25). They were impressed by what he did.

This response was not yet true faith. True faith trusts in who Jesus is, not only in the signs and wonders he performs.
