Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

Therefore she runs and comes to Simon Peter and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and she says to them, “They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they laid Him!”

Notes

Mary Magdalene ran to find Simon Peter. She assumed that someone had taken the body of Jesus from the tomb. This kind of tomb disturbance did happen in the ancient world.
