For this is what the LORD says: “When Babylon’s seventy years are complete, I will attend to you and confirm My promise to restore you to this place.
Traditional
For thus saith the Lord, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
Literal
For thus says YHWH: “Surely after seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word over you, to make you return to this place.

Notes

The exiled people of Judah would stay in Babylon for seventy years; this was not new information (see Jeremiah 25:11), but Jeremiah's audiences in Jerusalem had not believed him. Now that they were in exile, they needed to accept reality.

Jeremiah sent a letter to the Hebrew exiles in Babylon. People read his letter many times in different settlements to reach all the scattered Israelites.
