The mother of seven will grow faint; she will breathe her last breath. Her sun will set while it is still day; she will be disgraced and humiliated. And the rest I will put to the sword in the presence of their enemies,” declares the LORD.
Traditional
She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the Lord.
Literal
She languishes who has borne seven; she has breathed her last, her sun has gone down while yet day; she has been ashamed and disgraved. And the remnant of them I will give to the sword, before the face of their enemies, a declaration of YHWH.
Latin
Infirmata est quæ peperit septem; defecit anima ejus: occidit ei sol cum adhuc esset dies: confusa est, et erubuit: et residuos ejus in gladium dabo in conspectu inimicorum eorum, ait Dominus.

Both the old and young men would pass away.

The Lord replied to Jeremiah's prayer (Jeremiah 14:19–22) that Judah's destruction could not be avoided.
