It must be eaten inside one house. You are not to take any of the meat outside the house, and you may not break any of the bones.
Traditional
In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth ought of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof.
Literal
In one house it shall be eaten; you shall not bring out from the house any of the flesh outside, and a bone of it you shall not break.

Notes

you may not break any of the bones: The apostle John refers to this rule about Passover lambs when he reports that they did not break the legs of Jesus when he was on the cross (John 19:36).

These extra instructions for celebrating Passover mainly refer to outsiders and foreigners (12:43; 12:48). The presence of non-Israelite groups in the community might have led to these rules (12:38). The main point was whether the person was willing to fully join Israel and obey the Lord by being circumcised.
