Original

Greek
English
When the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, for he was astonished at the teaching about the Lord.

Notes

The teaching about the Lord included a miracle showing divine power (compare Mark 1:21–27). This was because it was a teaching about the living God (see Acts 14:15).

In Paphos, a false prophet caused a power struggle. This resulted in a display of God's power, and the Roman proconsul (governor) became a Christian.
