1. bring to an end, finish, accomplish, fulfil: John 4:34, Acts 20:24; of time, Luke 2:43, John 5:36; 17:4; pass., ἡ γραφή, John 19:28.
2. to bring to maturity or completeness, to complete, perfect;
(a) of things: Hebrews 7:19, James 2:22, 1 John 2:5, John 4:12, John 4:17 :
