ἐπι-στρέφω
[very frequently in LXX, chiefly for שׁוּב, in its various senses, also for פָּנָה, etc. ;]
1. trans., to turn about, round or towards, hence metaphorically, to turn, cause to return (to God, virtue, etc.): Luke 1:16-17 (cf. Malachi 3:24), James 5:19-20.
2. Intrans.,
(a) to turn, turn oneself around: Acts 16:18; with inf., Revelation 1:12; before πρός, Acts 9:40; so also pass.
