- But I will establish My covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons’ wives with you.
- Then the LORD said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and all your family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.
- Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your offspring.” So Abram built an altar there to the LORD, who had appeared to him.

- Then the two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—a son-in-law, your sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here,
- At daybreak the angels hurried Lot along, saying, “Get up! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away in the punishment of the city.”
- But when Lot hesitated, the men grabbed his hand and the hands of his wife and his two daughters. And they led them safely out of the city, because of the LORD’s compassion for them.
- But I will also make a nation of the slave woman’s son, because he is your offspring.”
- Stay in this land as a foreigner, and I will be with you and bless you. For I will give all these lands to you and your offspring, and I will confirm the oath that I swore to your father Abraham.
- I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and I will give them all these lands, and through your offspring all nations of the earth will be blessed,
- …and that night the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. I will bless you and multiply your descendants for the sake of My servant Abraham.”
- Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject or despise them so as to destroy them and break My covenant with them; for I am the LORD their God.
- But for their sake I will remember the covenant with their fathers, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am the LORD.”
- Because He loved your fathers, He chose their descendants after them and brought you out of Egypt by His presence and great power,
- Yet the LORD has set His affection on your fathers and loved them. And He has chosen you, their descendants after them, above all the peoples, even to this day.
- Be careful to obey all these things I command you, so that it may always go well with you and your children after you, because you will be doing what is good and right in the eyes of the LORD your God.
- Yet I will not tear the whole kingdom away from him. I will give one tribe to your son for the sake of My servant David and for the sake of Jerusalem, which I have chosen.”
- Nevertheless, for the sake of David, the LORD his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem by raising up a son to succeed him and to make Jerusalem strong.
- Yet for the sake of His servant David, the LORD was unwilling to destroy Judah, since He had promised to maintain a lamp for David and his descendants forever.
- They are ever generous and quick to lend, and their children are a blessing.
- The children of Your servants will dwell securely, and their descendants will be established before You.”
- But from everlasting to everlasting the loving devotion of the LORD extends to those who fear Him, and His righteousness to their children’s children—
- …to those who keep His covenant and remember to obey His precepts.
- His descendants will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
- Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.
- The curse of the LORD is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the righteous.
- Be assured that the wicked will not go unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will escape.
- The wicked are overthrown and perish, but the house of the righteous will stand.
- A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is passed to the righteous.
- The righteous man walks with integrity; blessed are his children after him.
- For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and currents on the dry ground. I will pour out My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring. …
- They will not labor in vain or bear children doomed to disaster; for they will be a people blessed by the LORD—they and their descendants with them.
- I will give them one heart and one way, so that they will always fear Me for their own good and for the good of their children after them.
- This promise belongs to you and your children and to all who are far off—to all whom the Lord our God will call to Himself.”
- For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his believing wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy.
