  1. So Moses went back and summoned the elders of the people and set before them all these words that the LORD had commanded him.
  2. And God spoke all these words:
  3. And Moses wrote down all the words of the LORD. Early the next morning he got up and built an altar at the base of the mountain, along with twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel.
  4. Then the LORD said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and stay here, so that I may give you the tablets of stone, with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”
  5. Set the mercy seat atop the ark and put the Testimony that I will give you into the ark.
  6. When the LORD had finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, He gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
  7. The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.
  8. The LORD also said to Moses, “Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”
  9. And after this all the Israelites came near, and Moses commanded them to do everything that the LORD had told him on Mount Sinai.
  10. These are the statutes, ordinances, and laws that the LORD established between Himself and the Israelites through Moses on Mount Sinai.
  11. See, I have taught you statutes and ordinances just as the LORD my God has commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land that you are about to enter and possess.
  12. At that time the LORD commanded me to teach you the statutes and ordinances you are to follow in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess.
  13. Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as reminders on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
  14. Now therefore, write down for yourselves this song and teach it to the Israelites; have them recite it, so that it may be a witness for Me against them.
  15. So that very day Moses wrote down this song and taught it to the Israelites.
  16. Yet through all His prophets and seers, the LORD warned Israel and Judah, saying, “Turn from your wicked ways and keep My commandments and statutes, according to the entire Law that I commanded your fathers and delivered to you through My servants the prophets.”
  17. As for the rest of the acts of Manasseh, along with his prayer to his God and the words of the seers who spoke to him in the name of the LORD, the God of Israel, they are indeed written in the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
  18. I have not departed from the command of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my daily bread.
  19. For He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers to teach to their children,
  20. He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept His decrees and the statutes He gave them.

  28. In the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the LORD:
  29. “Take a scroll and write on it all the words I have spoken to you concerning Israel, Judah, and all the nations, from the day I first spoke to you during the reign of Josiah until today.
  30. After the king had burned the scroll containing the words that Baruch had written at Jeremiah’s dictation, the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:
  31. “Take another scroll and rewrite on it the very words that were on the original scroll, which Jehoiakim king of Judah has burned.
  32. Then Jeremiah took another scroll and gave it to the scribe Baruch son of Neriah, and at Jeremiah’s dictation he wrote on it all the words of the scroll that Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire. And many similar words were added to them.
