  1. And the LORD said to him, “Who gave man his mouth? Or who makes the mute or the deaf, the sighted or the blind? Is it not I, the LORD?
  2. Now go! I will help you as you speak, and I will teach you what to say.”
  3. Moses said to Pharaoh, “You may have the honor over me. When shall I pray for you and your officials and your people that the frogs (except for those in the Nile) may be taken away from you and your houses?”
  4. “Tomorrow,” Pharaoh answered. “May it be as you say,” Moses replied, “so that you may know that there is no one like the LORD our God.
  5. See, I have taught you statutes and ordinances just as the LORD my God has commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land that you are about to enter and possess.
  6. Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding in the sight of the peoples, who will hear of all these statutes and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”
  7. You were shown these things so that you would know that the LORD is God; there is no other besides Him.
  8. He let you hear His voice from heaven to discipline you, and on earth He showed you His great fire, and you heard His words out of the fire.
  9. Yet to this day the LORD has not given you a mind to understand, eyes to see, or ears to hear.
  10. Above all, may the LORD give you insight and understanding when He puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the Law of the LORD your God.
  11. You gave Your good Spirit to instruct them. You did not withhold Your manna from their mouths, and You gave them water for their thirst.
  12. Surely you have instructed many, and have strengthened their feeble hands.
  13. But if only God would speak and open His lips against you,
  14. …and disclose to you the secrets of wisdom, for true wisdom has two sides. Know then that God exacts from you less than your iniquity deserves.
  15. Reconcile now and be at peace with Him; thereby good will come to you.
  16. Receive instruction from His mouth, and lay up His words in your heart.

  25. I will bless the LORD who counsels me; even at night my conscience instructs me.
  26. For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
  27. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
  28. Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He shows sinners the way.
  29. He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way.
  30. Who is the man who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the path chosen for him.
  31. The LORD confides in those who fear Him, and reveals His covenant to them.
  32. I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will give you counsel and watch over you.
  33. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.

  83. For what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.
  84. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse.
  85. It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption.

  87. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by the same Spirit,
  88. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
  89. All of us who are mature should embrace this point of view. And if you think differently about some issue, God will reveal this to you as well.

  98. And as for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But just as His true and genuine anointing teaches you about all things, so remain in Him as you have been taught.
  99. And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true—in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
