  1. “I have much to say about you and much to judge. But the One who sent Me is truthful, and what I have heard from Him, I tell the world.”
  2. So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing on My own, but speak exactly what the Father has taught Me.
  3. I have not spoken on My own, but the Father who sent Me has commanded Me what to say and how to say it.
  4. And I know that His command leads to eternal life. So I speak exactly what the Father has told Me to say.”
  5. Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I say to you, I do not speak on My own. Instead, it is the Father dwelling in Me, performing His works.
  6. Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words. The word that you hear is not My own, but it is from the Father who sent Me.
  7. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything I have learned from My Father I have made known to you.
  8. For I have given them the words You gave Me, and they have received them. They knew with certainty that I came from You, and they believed that You sent Me.
  9. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
