  1. For each one should carry his own load.
  2. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive his due for the things done in the body, whether good or bad.
  3. If anyone does not provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
  4. He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.

  8. The soul who sins is the one who will die. A son will not bear the iniquity of his father, and a father will not bear the iniquity of his son. The righteousness of the righteous man will fall upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked man will fall upon him.
  9. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
  10. But the one who unknowingly does things worthy of punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and from him who has been entrusted with much, even more will be demanded.
