- News about Him spread all over Syria, and people brought to Him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering acute pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and He healed them.

- So a second time they called for the man who had been blind and said, “Give glory to God! We know that this man is a sinner.”
- He answered, “Whether He is a sinner I do not know. There is one thing I do know: I was blind, but now I see!”
- We know that God spoke to Moses, but we do not know where this man is from.”
- “That is remarkable indeed!” the man said. “You do not know where He is from, and yet He opened my eyes.
- If this man were not from God, He could do no such thing.”
- Many came to Him and said, “Although John never performed a sign, everything he said about this man was true.”
- And many in that place believed in Jesus.
- But some of them asked, “Could not this man who opened the eyes of the blind also have kept Lazarus from dying?”
- Therefore many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed in Him. …
- Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews learned that Jesus was there. And they came not only because of Him, but also to see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.
