Notes

we will also live with him: This means we will experience a resurrection of our bodies with Christ (see 6:5). Christians are already spiritually resurrected with Christ (Ephesians 2:5–6; Colossians 2:13). We will also experience a physical resurrection when he returns in glory (2 Corinthians 4:14; Philippians 3:21; 1 Thessalonians 4:17; 2 Timothy 2:11).
