Psalm 8
How Majestic Is Your Name!
For the one directing. According to Gittith. A Psalm of David. O YHWH our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth, who have set Your splendor above the heavens!
From the mouth of infants and sucklings You have established strength, on account of Your adversaries, to still the enemy and avenger.
When I see Your heavens, the works of Your fingers, the moon and the stars that You have established—
what is man that You should remember him, and the son of man, that You would attend to him?
And You made him lacking a little from the angels, and with glory and honor You crowned him.
You made him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have placed everything under his feet:
All sheep and cattle, and also the beasts of the field,
the birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea, those passing on the paths of the seas.
O YHWH, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!
