Original

Hebrew
English
You must not lie carnally with any animal, thus defiling yourself with it; a woman must not stand before an animal to mate with it; that is a perversion.

Notes

  • Like homosexuality, bestiality violates God's created order (see study note on Leviticus 18:22).

  • The Hebrew word for perversion refers not only to a violation but also to a confusion of the order God created. It destroys the clear boundaries that God established.
