Greek
English
When they heard this, they began to go away one by one, beginning with the older ones, until only Jesus was left, with the woman standing there.

Notes

they began to go away one by one: One of the people accusing her left, then another, followed by several people who had been standing there watching what was happening.

It is likely that someone added this story to John's Gospel later, since it is not in the earliest Greek manuscripts. However, it is likely a true story from the life of Jesus.
