This event happened in the same year Baruch spent many hours in hiding. There, he wrote the messages the Lord gave to Jeremiah (Jeremiah 36:1–4).
This chapter takes place in 605 BC, over twenty years before the previous chapters. Jeremiah’s secretary, Baruch, felt overwhelmed with problems. The Lord promised him safety.
