Notes
Kedar was a wealthy Arabian tribe with many possessions (see Isaiah 60:7; Ezekiel 27:21).
Compare Jeremiah 49:28–33.
These two prophecies are about Edom and Arabia, located between Babylon and Israel. These regions suffered under Assyrian control. Like Judah, they would not find peace under Babylon's harsh rule.
