Now when the man had finished measuring the interior of the temple area, he led me out by the gate that faced east, and he measured the area all around:

Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about.

And he had completed the measurements of the inner temple, and he brought me out through the gateway that has its face toward the east, and he measured it round about.

Notes

The prophet’s tour of the new temple began outside the building. He then moved step by step toward its center.

After reaching the inside, he walked outward again. The tour ended at the kitchens located in the corners of the outer courtyard (Ezekiel 46:19–24).
